I have to say, I liked the "preview" version better.

What I liked about the preview version was that it sounded like a badass rock song. It sounded more real. You know, just having vocals, guitar, and drums.

The thing about this version is that the addition of the electronic sounds kill that feel for me. I'm all for mixing instruments but it wasn't done well here, at least in my taste. For example the muffled screeching sound in the beginning during the main riff was a major put off. Another is when that synth kicks in, it sounds totally out of place. I think the main problem is that you're mixing these clean sweet sounding synth leads with grungey guitar riffs.

But on the other hand, I love the addition of the piano and violin (if it is a violin. I'm terrible with the names of those instruments). They create a good mix of contrast with the guitar but the piano sounds like the default piano sounds from a music program. Hopefully this is because its a rough draft :)

Last thing, the whistling sounds out of place also. I never really liked whistling in songs so that's mostly personal preference.

tl;dr either fix or get rid of the silly synths and push the more "real" instruments to their full potential. Right now it's a bad mix of pop and grunge.

I think the original version and this version could be combined to make a 2-3 minute song by itself.

It's nice having it as a loop though. Just let it play in the background while you do some work. But you could say that about any good sounding loop.

I'm liking the variety in this version, though.

Pretty good. I think the vocals need to be leveled lower to mix with the music better. Also it sounds like you break your flow a few times too. The backing track sounds amazing though.

"My own friends hated me. Shit." This line makes me crack up for some reason lol.

Lol maybe I will change that line that makes you laugh. So you think the vocals should be a little lower than the music? It would be great if you can tell me where I broke flow. It is hard for me to realize sometimes :)

Very nice. It's got that good buildup synth that gets you pumped. Something I think could have lyrics to or at the least be applied to a video to give it some added visuals.
